The purpose of our chapter is to support and further enhance the construction and facility management programs at the University of Minnesota.

 

Our core mission is to provide a base for student involvement in campus and community activites.

 

To accomplish this, we will participate in AGC Young Constructors Forum activities, connect to other industry proffessional groups (such as MCA, CMAA, DBIA, CFMA, etc), to help current student by mentorung or tutoring, and provide other opportunities to our members for involvement with other campus groups. We are a non-profit organization, and will abide by University policies. 

 

The chapter emphasized networking between preacticioners, existing students, and recent graduates, and we will also cooperate with school officials, students, and members of the construction industry to promote construction education at the University of Minnesota.

Members must be students pursuing a building or construction-related degree at the University of Minnesota. Allumni are also welcome as members. 

 

Members must pay dues of $20/academic year, due by the end of fall semester. Members that have not paid their dues by the due date will be delisted from the membership roster and denied access to CFMSA activities and events.

  • Campus construction projects

  • Conducting career day fairs

  • Social activities such as banquets, parties, and mixers

  • Chapter meetings with special presentations, guest speakers, and videos.

  • Field trips to construction projects

  • Community projects; evaluations, design, & execution
